Travel Gear Review: CamelBak MultiBev
This post is sponsored by CamelBak but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
As you all know, I love travel accessories that allow me to be more sustainable when I travel, as well as that are functional and fun to use at the same time. I’ve also been a big fan of CamelBak products for the past few years, so when I had the chance to check out their new MultiBev product, I couldn’t wait to do so!
There are a number of great things about this bottle, and I’m going to break them down in this post. However, my favorite thing about this device is how it offers a sustainable alternative to plastic water bottles and cups, and that it is super easy to transport in your bag.
CamelBak MultiBev Review
Here are some reasons you might want to check out the CamelBak MultiBev for your next journey:
Hot and cold
Choosing between hot and cold beverages? I would prefer not to. As much as I am addicted to coffee, I am also addicted to having water nearby so I can hydrate. One of the major benefits of the MultiBev is that it is designed in order to hold both types of liquid–hot and cold. With the removable cup and included silicon lid (which conveniently fits within the cap), you have an additional vessel to hold your coffee or tea, as well as a separate water bottle.
For someone who likes to have this option available (coffee on the go, please?), this is a game changer. The best part is that I know I am doing my part by grabbing a reusable cup instead of throwing more waste away.
Durable and lightweight
If you’re also like me, you drop things…a lot. I have to “drop-proof” everything I own since I am a klutz and these things happen. To have a durable water bottle that I know won’t crack or bust up when I am hiking can be essential, so I love how this can withstand any of my clumsiness that I throw at it. It also comes in several great colors, which makes it fun to carry around and show off.
The best part is definitely that it fits easily within a bag. Since it is a bit more oblong than other water bottles, it overall doesn’t take up as much space. You can get the MultiBev in two sizes, as well: 17 oz with a 12 oz cup, or 22 oz with a 16 oz cup. Because it is made of such light materials, I couldn’t feel it in my bag when I took it hiking with me, which is always a plus when you’re trying to drop some weight in your pack.
Great for outdoors or at home
I toted around my MultiBev to the Cloisters, the Hudson Valley, on the subway, and to Prospect Park. I took it to the gym with me, and it sat on my desk with me while I worked. I fell in love with it a little (don’t tell Daniel), and I loved how it could be used flexibly in a number of different environments and purposes. For those looking to save some space and use a beverage vessel that can be used in a number of ways (perfect for backpackers!), the MultiBev offers a number of reasons to consider adding it to your arsenal.
Final verdict
Out of all the water bottles out there, should you consider the MultiBev? In my opinion, yes. There’s a lot to love about this clever water bottle/travel cup, and it would make a great companion to those who love the outdoors but want something they can take with them on their daily activities, as well. I would have loved this product when I was working in an office environment, and I am excited to pack it in my personal item when we can travel again–I’ll definitely be using it for hot beverages wherever we go, too!
