While you might think of Anchorage, Alaska as in the middle of nowhere, I was shocked how many restaurants there were in the Anchorage area and how many options there were available for all types of cuisines. Daniel and I had no problem finding some incredible meals here, and I highly recommend that you spend a day or two exploring the area before heading off on your Alaska road trip.

Here are some of my recommended spots as well as local favorites that you’re going to want to visit when you head up north to visit the national parks in Alaska.
